This album is an about face from "Take Up Your Mat and Walk". It focuses heavily on rock and roll, and revisits new wave and post punk sounds. The theme revolves around the concept of a decent into arbitrary societal chaos from meaningful order.

A short album that focuses heavily on lyrical content. "The Chimes at Midnight" was an accompanying film that featured the songs from the album.

DEADMAN plays The Saxon Pub and tracked these songs over a two month period. The songs were recorded while the band were playing a Tuesday night residency at the historic Austin club.

The follow up to "Our Eternal Ghosts". The record has a theme about grief. Started in Steven's remote studio in McGregor, TX then overdubs with Mark Howard in Los Angeles, then finished in Lockhart, TX in Steven's new installation. Daryl Johnson (Daniel Lanois, Emmy Lou Harris, )makes an appearance on the album.

DEADMAN returned to The Paramour Estate in Silver Lake, CA to work once more with producer, Mark Howard.
